The success of the energy transition hinges on the ability to operate renewable energy assets economically and integrate them efficiently into the markets. suena energy and Münch Energie are two partners who work precisely at this interface. They are driving the expansion of solar energy forward and ensuring that it becomes strong and viable in the market in the long term.
Since this year, the two companies have worked closely together to rethink solar power marketing with modern trading approaches, transparent communication, and a clear focus on profitability. Today, the partnership comprises eight solar parks with a combined installed capacity of 218 MWp. This makes Münch Energie one of suena energy’s strongest partners.
Terms of the partnership
The common goal: making renewable energies economically viable. While Münch Energie, as one of the leading project developers and operators of solar parks, focuses on the construction and reliable operation of the plants, suena energy takes over the entire operational marketing, including balance group responsibility for the solar power generated.

Direct marketing with the suena Energy Trading Autopilot
As part of the cooperation, suena energy is responsible for the complete market integration and trading optimization of the solar power generated. The suena Energy Trading Autopilot forms the core of the operational implementation: a data-driven platform that automatically makes the best possible trading decisions based on forecasts, real-time data, and market information.
How the optimization works:
Precise generation forecasts and dynamic schedule creation: Based on forecasts of output and price developments, the autopilot automatically generates market-driven schedules that are reported to transmission system operators and fed directly into the trading process. In hours with negative prices, for example, output is automatically curtailed. This ensures that every kilowatt hour generated is marketed correctly and efficiently in terms of accounting.
Multi-market Marketing: The Autopilot reacts dynamically to changing market conditions and places energy where it achieves the greatest economic effect. In doing so, it intelligently links different trading periods and mechanisms in order to flexibly exploit opportunities and sustainably increase revenues.
Balancing group management & market access: suena energy's EPEX membership and trading licenses give solar parks direct access to the relevant electricity markets. suena energy acts as a balancing group manager and ensures that all trading processes are compliant, efficient, and low-risk.
Performance dashboard: To ensure full transparency, suena energy provides regularly updated dashboards that clearly display yield figures, forecasts, and market developments, as well as trading results down to 15 minutes and spot positive revenues.
Collaboration on equal terms
The partnership between Münch Energie and suena energy is based on a clear understanding: sustainable solutions can only be achieved through cooperation on an equal footing. Regular exchange rounds, workshops, and an open feedback culture promote mutual learning—both in the technical field and in the further development of processes and strategies.
„What makes working with suena energy special for me is the spirit of partnership: short communication channels, transparent communication, and a clear focus on finding a practical and innovative solution for every challenge.” — Robin Tögel, Renewable Energy Portfolio Manager – Münch Energie
Challenges and solutions
The integration of eight solar parks with a total capacity of over 200 MW within a few months placed high demands on technology and coordination. One of the biggest challenges was to seamlessly connect the interfaces between technical plant control and the requirements of energy trading. Different plant configurations, data sources, and communication channels had to be harmonized to ensure precise market connection.

Direct communication channels between the Münch Energie technical team and the suena energy trading team made it possible to incorporate real-time data from the plants directly into trading decisions. This made it possible to adjust forecasts more quickly, update schedules dynamically, and effectively compensate for deviations. With each new project, a significant reduction in balancing energy costs, faster integration, and an overall more stable marketing process were achieved—insights that are of great value for future projects.
Looking into the future
The successful integration of eight solar parks with an installed capacity of 218 MWp marks only the beginning of the collaboration. Münch Energie and suena energy plan to further expand their partnership in the coming years and implement new projects.
Together, the two companies are making a concrete contribution to the energy transition: they are demonstrating that economic efficiency and ecological responsibility are not mutually exclusive—rather, they drive progress forward together.
Münch Energie is one of Germany’s largest decentralized energy suppliers and stands for regional supply with affordable, sustainable energy..Driven by the conviction of a sustainable future that enables everyone to participate, Mario Münch founded the company in 2004. Alongside numerous PV, wind, and infrastructure projects, Münch Energie is today among Germany’s leading storage experts. For years, the company has been operating several BESS systems, including what is among Germany’s largest innovation storage facilities. In doing so, Münch Energie is setting new benchmarks for the intelligent connection of generation, storage, and the use of renewable energy – and thus makes a decisive contribution to the grid stability of the future.
